How to use used presents papers?(tutorial+tag)

Do you also have hidden used presents papers that you don’t want to through away? I definitely have 😉 Today I will show you how to used them as a element of a card.

So just prepare:

-piece of paper(I used 160gsm)

-brush

-PVA glue

-scissors

-chalk paint(acrylic or latex works well too)

-used presents paper

1.Tear up paper to a smaller pieces(you can also crumble it which gives extra texture) and glue them to a paper. If you like game Tetris this task is for you 😉  Don’t forget about the edges of overlapping pieces.

2.Cut hanging out pieces.

3.Leave it to dry(you can use a heat tool)

4.Paint a whole sheet using a dry brush technique but  leave some unpainted spots

5.When it dries you can use it as a background or cut it with a scissors or dies

Instead of paper for packing presents you can also use a silver lined paper from chocolate(crumbled and glued this way will give a nice texture).

I, of course, couldn’t stop myself from use my leaves straight away in a tag:

My project have handmade flower, pieces of ribbons and fabrics. Star it’s actually cutted in half styrofoam form and pasted with a silver from a Ferrero Rocher :p

My tag goes to Manuna challenge:

I’m also sending it to Craft Passion Bingo challenge- I’m using diagonal line- TWIGS/LEAVES-FLOWERS-LAYERS:

Birthday in gray

Hello, today I would like to present you something different than usual. A card in gray – something I haven’t done before. For a focal point I used my flowers, the biggest one is from foamiran foam and others from paper. And, of course, there is lots of ribbons, diecutted elements, tulle, glitter, buttons. I also used plastic frame and I made some hearts from chipboard and piece of silvery-white paper from chocolate. Lots of layers, that’s what I like 🙂  I hope that’s not look too sad.

I’s sending my card for a Eko Deco challenge:

Another challenge in grays is from the blog Skrapek.pl:

Once a Beautiful Lady

Today I have another Christmas card made for an order(I’m slowly catching this mood 🙂 ) My work will be send by mail in bauble envelope, so it has to be more flat than my usual cards. I kept  this card in traditional Christmassy colours and inspiration for it was moodboard from a Studio 75. Main decoration here is lovely graphic from Lemoncraft, which reminds me of a beautiful carol(I took my sentiment from there). In my project I used sisal, diecutted elements, ribbons, snowballs made from cotton, stars cut out with knife from a whine cork, gems and an openwork sweater with silver thread( 🙂 ). Background is paper called “Snow Queen” from Galeria Papieru.

I’m sending my card to a Studio 75 challenge:

Christmas “candy” card

Hello, I have a “candy” and shabby chic card for you today. This card is not in typical christmassy colours. Inspiration here was actual Lemoncraft’s challenge with wonderful moodboard. I used papers from  a collection called  “Tiny Miracles Basic” and image from card with Christmas graphics from a Lemoncraft. I my work I used also lots of die cuts, laces, ribbons and pompoms. For a very first time I made this year cookies(for a decoration 🙂 ) from a potato starch and PVA glue. I cut them using cookie cutters, part of them I decorated by pressing stamp(to get a nice pattern). Exactly this star, painted pink I used for this project. I hope that my card will make your gray, autumn day more happy.

Card, of course, is going to Lemoncraft:

I’m sending my project to Crafty Moly for they openwork challenge:

Card is in my favorite colours: white and light turquoise( I’m dreaming about kitchen in this colours, oh!). “Old” card for a new road

Hi, today I want to present a card which is more rustic, old, bit vintage style. For a background I used brown paper which I rubbed brown ink pad and a white gesso for a distressed, whitened wood look. I also used cream lace, linen cord, brown paper and old book page(from 2 last ones I made a flowers). The whole look wouldn’t be complete without a decorative padlock and a linen fabric which I wrapped around frame.

I would like to take a part in OLD-VINTAGE-RUSTED challenge from “DIY czyli zrób to sam” blog:

This card I’m sending to “anything goes” challenge to Card Mania Challenges:

First Christmas card in 2017 :)

Hello, today I made a card which brings feeling of upcoming, in less than 2 months, Christmas. It is little a bit of rustic, with papers from MHKDesigns, which I won almost a year ago(!) in autumn challenge. Card is heavy dimensional with a big  rose made from junk mail and painted with a chalk paint. In this creation I used lots of natural elements(dry orange slice, pinecones, feather, sisal) and also few botanical diecuts. I like this color combo of brown paper, white and red. What about you?

I’m sending my card to Christmas at Sweet and Stampin’ Challenge Blog:
